Artwork title: Flying Fox
Artist Statement: Nothing sounds more like home here in Queensland than the vibrant chatter of our brilliant flying foxes at sunset. Flying foxes are native to Australia, with three species of flying-fox protected in Brisbane under Queensland's Nature Consideration Act. Flying Fox is a nocturnal work, reflective of the nature of our lively night-animals. Just as the Valley comes to life as the sun goes down, Flying Fox is projection-mapped installation ready to light up the streets of our bustling nightlife.
