We’re forever discussing how rapidly the music industry changes, but how often do we think about how the concept of success has transformed alongside it? Is holding ourselves to the same yardsticks as we did five years ago futile when our work, our audience and the needs of our clients have progressed. How do we ascertain what success looks like when sometimes the harshest critic can be yourself. Redefining success for an evolving landscape may assist us in better recognising the legitimate wins we have in our careers, even if those victories look different to those of your colleagues – or your competition. Mardi Caught, founder of marketing services company The Annex, believes that coming together as a community is the best way to navigate the complexities of this industry and overcome its myriad challenges. In this keynote, she’ll explain how we can do that.
