Melbourne artist Beatrice has worked in a variety of roles; including as a producer, DJ, vocalist, a composer for theatre and television, and as a workshop facilitator in remote Australian communities. She’s also experienced the challenges and rewards that come with being in bands.
Beatrice was invited to attend the 2016 Red Bull Music Academy in Montreal, where she collaborated with artists such as Suzanne Cianne, Theo Parrish and Just Blaze; plus she was named as one of Beat Magazine’s “DJs and Producers that owned 2017”.
In this hour-long session; Beatrice shares her fascinating story and the background behind her forthcoming debut EP 'Move Towards The Mountain', and how her unique journey and experiences have not only shaped her as a person, but have helped her to find her own sound. She’ll dive into one of the songs from the EP and share some of the techniques she employed in Ableton Live to build the track.
