With nearly a thousand bands playing the festival throughout its 16 year history, the event has become a rite of passage for Australian musicians breaking out onto the world stage.

#Levi’s® Music Prize

Need more reasons to apply? Playing BIGSOUND puts you in the running for a share of the $100,000 Levi’s® Music Prize.

Launched last year, the annual prize awards 4 BIGSOUND artists $25,000 each to help them achieve their export goals. Stella Donnelly and Alex Lahey took out the first two prizes, with another two winners still to be announced. As an added bonus, Levi’s® are pleased to announce that this year’s prize will increase to include $5,000 in travel support for each winner courtesy of Stage & Screen.
