If the ins and outs of sync makes your head spin, these four women will give you real life examples of how it can work. Neophonic’s Amanda Krieg Thomas has experience working with just about every major American television network and has recently served as Music Supervisor on the acclaimed FX series The Americans. Alison Rosenfeld from Aperture is currently music supervisor on TV shows such as Fresh Off the Boat and Good Girls, and has previously worked on Girls, Community and Love, to name a few. LowProfile founder Jen Pearce looks after sync for a wide range of acts, notably the entire rosters of the Captured Tracks, City Slang, and Terrible Records labels. And Brontë Jane’s tenure at Third Side Music has seen her work alongside the likes of Courtney Barnett, BADBADNOTGOOD, Flying Lotus, and more.
These four experienced campaigners will comprehensively explain what kind of music they might look for in different onscreen contexts, as well as some basics about how the whole sync process works from conception and pitching, right up to the final product.
