Joey Cape, singer-songwriter of Lagwagon, guitar player of Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, and co-owner/co-founder of One Week Records, has led a prolific career.
Cape's been active in the music industry since the 80s and is still going strong today. He's best known as the front-man of the California punk band, Lagwagon. However, Cape’s restless spirit has led to numerous side projects, which include the experimental group Bad Astronaut, multiple solo albums, and two split albums with the late Tony Sly of No Use for a Name. Cape is also an accomplished and talented producer, working in the studio with bands such as The Atari’s, Nerf Herder, and Western Addiction. Although Lagwagon and Me First and the Gimme Gimmes have been released almost exclusively on Fat Wreck Chords, Cape also runs a digital-only record label called One Week Records, releasing ten song albums that are recorded in 7 days.
