Rod Yates

Rod Yates is one of Australia’s most respected entertainment journalists, having launched the Australian arm of British rock bible Kerrang! and edited titles such as Empire and pop culture institution Rolling Stone Australia. Rod has contributed to myriad national and international publications, such as Mojo (UK), Q (UK), Classic Rock (UK), Kerrang! (UK), Planet Rock (UK), Rolling Stone Germany, Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, Men’s Style, Australian Guitar and Blunt, to name a few. In 2016, Rod launched a weekly online music show, The Right Note, which he co-hosts and co-produces. Recently, Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich sent him a toaster.
